Military exercises involving the movement of equipment and troops are set to begin in Poland
Scheduled military exercises will begin in Poland on July 20, during which troops, patrols, and military equipment will be moving across the country. The following day, a nationwide drill will be conducted throughout the country, including the sounding of sirens.
The Polish Army’s exercises will continue through the end of July in the cities of Opole, Zawadski, and Turawa. During this period, soldiers, patrols, and military equipment will be moving along forest roads in the region.
Authorities are asking local residents and tourists not to photograph military personnel or post such images on social media. People are also urged to remain calm, as these exercises are said to be purely routine and pose no threat.
In addition, the country will conduct a large-scale test of its warning systems, codenamed “ALARM 2026,” which will simulate the threat of an airstrike. Sirens will sound throughout July 21.
Residents are being warned about two types of signals: a three-minute intermittent sound will signal the start of the alert, while a continuous signal of the same duration will signal its end.
Military officials state that there is currently “no cause for concern” in Poland.
