Israeli Foreign Minister rejects criticism over new settlements
Israeli Foreign Minister Yoav Saar firmly rejected a joint statement by the “Eurotroika” and several other countries condemning the construction of 19 new Jewish settlements in the West Bank. Saar emphasized that no foreign governments have the right to restrict the Jews’ right to live in the Land of Israel, and such calls are morally wrong and discriminatory.
He stressed that foreign interference in this matter, which is fundamental to the existence of the Israeli nation and its historic entitlement to the land, is unacceptable. This response highlights Israel’s firm stance in ongoing international debates over settlements.
The situation around Israeli settlements in the West Bank will remain a key issue in regional and diplomatic processes, with Israel demonstrating its readiness to defend its interests decisively.
