MLB and Trump administration discuss game in Grand Teton — The Hill
Major League Baseball (MLB) and the administration of US President Donald Trump are considering the possibility of holding a baseball game in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. The Hill reported this, citing sources.
Possible venue in Grand Teton
According to The Washington Post, MLB and White House representatives told the publication that the league had raised with the administration the possibility of holding a game in the national park.
Two sources familiar with the situation said that the administration had considered sites in Grand Teton National Park for building a baseball venue for an MLB game.
A White House statement obtained by The Washington Post said that the league had asked whether it would be possible to hold a game in the national park modeled after Field of Dreams. MLB occasionally holds such a game in Iowa in honor of the 1989 film.

White House position
The White House said that the idea is not a presidential directive, is not being directed by the White House, and is not being advanced by the US Department of the Interior. It also emphasized that holding a game in a national park is not a priority for the White House or the administration.
The Hill requested comment from the White House and MLB regarding the reported plan. The publication also noted that the Trump administration had previously considered private use of national park lands, including a possible land swap under which part of Yosemite National Park could be transferred to a private company.
The US National Park Service said in a document submitted to Congress that a landowner sought to connect their parcel to a park service road for commercial development. The agency said it was working with the landowner on an exchange that would allow the owner to convey an interest in the land parcel.
