Parents detained in Cyprus after 4-year-old boy dies
Police in the Engomi area of Cyprus detained the parents of a four-year-old boy who died after falling from the balcony of an apartment building. This was reported by Cyprus Mail.
Fall from the sixth floor
According to the publication, on Thursday evening the boy fell from the balcony on the sixth floor of the apartment where he lived. The child was taken to hospital by ambulance, but could not be saved.

Detention and autopsy
On Friday, law enforcement officers detained the child's parents — a 32-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman. They are to appear before the Nicosia District Court, where police will ask the court to remand the couple in custody.
An autopsy is expected to be conducted on Sunday, September 13, to determine the exact cause of the boy's death. It will be performed by pathologist Orthodoxos Orthodoxou.
