Gas stations in the Kuban region have begun to close due to a fuel shortage

Gas stations in the Kuban region have begun to close due to a fuel shortage

In the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, fuel sales have been temporarily suspended at 15 gas stations due to a fuel shortage. The restrictions affect Krasnodar as well as several districts in the region. Small private operators, who purchase fuel in small batches, faced the most significant challenges.

Meanwhile, in the Temryuk District, which borders occupied Crimea, long lines of dozens of cars have formed at some gas stations. Despite this, fuel is still being sold there without restrictions.

Local authorities attribute the situation to increased demand, supply disruptions, and reduced production at certain oil refineries due to unscheduled maintenance. An additional factor cited is the overload of the railway infrastructure, which complicates the delivery of fuel to the region.

This is reported by Russian media.

Russia has imposedrestrictions on gasoline sales in 20 regions.

Restrictions on fuel sales remain in effect in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol. The Russian-appointed “governor” of the city, Mikhail Razvozhayev, stated that the free sale of gasoline will resume only in the afternoon.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the largest network of gas stations, “TES,” announced the suspension of gasoline voucher sales due to a fuel shortage. The company’s website states that this service is currently unavailable.

In several regions of Russia, particularly in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, restrictions on gasoline sales have been imposed due to a fuel shortage, while in the occupied territories, including Sevastopol and Luhansk Oblast, a rationing system and refueling limits have been introduced. Local residents are complaining about strict restrictions and fuel shortages.
