Radars installed at China’s Gyirong border crossing after debris flow
Radars have been installed at the Gyirong border crossing in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region after a debris flow to monitor the slopes. The equipment is intended to help track possible landslides and debris flows during prolonged rainfall and rising temperatures.

According to ECNS, slope monitoring continues due to the risk of possible landslides and debris flows. The radars were placed at the border crossing, which was affected by the disaster.
Consequences of the debris flow
The debris flow hit the Gyirong crossing on the China-Nepal border on August 26. According to the outlet, it began on the Nepalese side of the border. As of Wednesday noon, 21 people had been found, while 541 people remained missing.
