Severe frosts are expected in Kyiv and the surrounding region over Easter, prompting meteorologists to issue a Level II hazard warning.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to the forecast, on the nights of April 12 and 13, the air temperature will drop to 0…–3°C.
Experts warn that such weather conditions are dangerous for nature, as they can damage early-blooming fruit trees that have already begun active growth.
As a result, the future harvest in orchards and private farms is at risk.
Forecasters also note that the cold snap is associated with the arrival of cold air, which will remain in the region at least until the beginning of next week.
In Kyiv, the curfew on Easter will remain unchanged—from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.—despite the fact that some churches are planning nighttime services.
