Navrotsky receives information about Russian strikes near the border with Poland
Polish President Karol Nawrocki is receiving real-time updates on Russian attacks in western Ukraine near the Polish border.
According to Polish Presidential Spokesperson Rafal Leskiewicz, the information is being provided by the operational unit of the Polish National Security Bureau. It coordinates with the Government Security Center and other state agencies.
During this morning’s attack, Russian drones struck areas near the Polish border. One of them hit approximately one kilometer from Polish territory, and another—approximately five kilometers away.
In response to the attack, the Polish military scrambled fighter jets, and residents of border areas were warned of a potential threat. There were also reports of a strike on the Kyiv–Warsaw train near the Ukrainian-Polish border and an attack near the Dorohusk–Yagodin border crossing.
At the same time, the Polish Operational Command stated that the country’s airspace had not been violated. The military completed the necessary response measures and continued to monitor the situation along the eastern border.
In response to the Russian strikes, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened a meeting with representatives of the government and security agencies. Polish authorities discussed the consequences of the attack and further security measures.
