In Slovenia, wind gusts reached 141 km/h, causing road closures, fallen trees, and power outages affecting more than 15,000 people. Snow fell in some regions, including the southern parts of the country.
In Croatia, the storm damaged tram lines and building roofs in Zagreb. Authorities suspended classes in schools, and wind gusts reached 120 km/h.
In Bosnia, snowfall led to traffic restrictions, particularly for trucks, and schools were temporarily closed due to power outages.
Experts do not rule out that such extreme weather events may be linked to climate change.
