Netanyahu to make 24-hour trip to the UN in New York
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will make a 24-hour trip to New York, United States, this month to address the annual gathering of world leaders at the UN. Israel’s permanent representative to the UN, Danny Danon, stated this on September 8.
Israeli diplomat’s position
According to Danon, Netanyahu’s extremely short trip is necessary after New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani called for the Israeli prime minister’s arrest over the war in Gaza. The diplomat said there was no other option.

New York mayor’s statement
