UAE Restores Power to Nuclear Reactor After Drone Attack — IAEA

In the United Arab Emirates, a stable external power supply to the third power unit of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant has been successfully restored.

This was officially reported by representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who are closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East.

The day before, an enemy drone was reported to have struck near this strategic facility, triggering a local fire.

International observers confirmed receiving official reports from government agencies of the Arab country regarding the stabilization of technical processes at the damaged section of the infrastructure.

“The IAEA has received a report from the UAE stating that external power supply to Unit 3 of the Barakah NPP was restored today following yesterday’s drone strike, which caused a fire in an electrical generator near the facility,” the agency’s statement noted.
