The OSCE has launched an investigation into the "brainwashing" of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia

More than 40 OSCE participating States have invoked the so-called “Moscow Mechanism” to investigate practices of ideological re-education and militarization of Ukrainian children. This concerns children who find themselves in the occupied territories or have been taken to Russia. The aim of the initiative is to gather evidence and assess possible violations of international law.

This was announced on their official websites by the participating states, including Lithuania and Finland.

On May 14, a total of 41 OSCE countries, in cooperation with Ukraine, supported the application of the Moscow Mechanism to investigate the indoctrination and militarization of Ukrainian children who have found themselves in the occupied territories and on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The investigation will focus on documenting practices of ideological re-education, militarization, coercion, and the use of physical and psychological violence against children, as well as practices aimed at eroding their Ukrainian identity.

A report by independent experts on this issue is expected to be prepared by mid-July.

Additionally, the OSCE is invoking the Moscow Mechanism regarding the militarization of Ukrainian children.

Russians are giving lectures on counterterrorism to children in the occupied territories.

Russia has spread a new fake story about Ukrainian children.
