The occupiers have changed their tactics and are now targeting logistics in northern Ukraine
Russian forces have begun attacking vehicles and logistics operations along the Kharkiv–Sumy highway, attempting to replicate Ukrainian tactics of striking supply routes. A section near the border has come under attack, where the enemy is actively trying to hinder movement.
Russian occupation forces have changed their approach and begun deliberately targeting logistics routes in northern Ukraine, specifically targeting traffic on the highway between Kharkiv and Sumy, according to Defense Minister Advisor Serhiy Beskrestnov, known as “Flash.” According to him, the Russian side is effectively trying to copy Ukrainian tactics of striking enemy logistics, but is now shifting to attacks on transportation links itself. “Unfortunately, we are not the only ones who understand the importance of attacks on logistics. Since the beginning of the month, the enemy has begun attacking transport links between Kharkiv and Sumy,” Beskrestnov noted.
As the advisor clarified, the enemy’s greatest activity is observed on a section of the highway near Bohodukhiv, located not far from the border with Russia, where the distance to it is about 20 kilometers. It is this proximity that allows Russian forces to carry out attacks on transport flows more quickly and attempt to disrupt Ukrainian logistics.
Such attacks on roads are effectively aimed at hindering the supply and movement of military equipment and civilian transport, which is critically important for frontline regions.
The Ukrainian side emphasizes that such enemy actions are not new in essence, but now they are increasingly shifting toward systematic pressure specifically on the logistics routes that Ukraine previously used actively against Russian rear areas.
