UN voices deep concern over Israeli strikes in Gaza
In the Gaza Strip, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs voiced deep concern over Israeli military strikes on densely populated areas, as a result of which civilians continue to be killed and injured. This was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq.
Data on children killed
According to data from the UN Children's Fund, UNICEF, cited by Haq, nine children were killed or died from their injuries during the previous week. They included two sisters aged 6 and 12, as well as four other children aged between 3 and 14.
A pregnant woman and her unborn child were also killed by gunfire. At least 13 other children were injured. The UN stressed that civilians and civilian infrastructure, including humanitarian workers, their supplies and property, must be protected.

Attacks in different areas
According to UN security partners, attacks continued across the enclave over the weekend. In particular, they took place in areas west of the so-called “yellow line.” Airstrikes, artillery shelling, fire from the sea and gunfire were reported.
Gaza's Health Ministry said that 1,372 Palestinians had been killed and another 4,659 injured as of Monday as a result of Israel's violations of the October 10 ceasefire agreement. The article also cites data that more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and more than 174,000 injured since October 8, 2023.
