The UN has condemned Russia's attacks on Ukraine

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine, Matthias Schmaler, condemned the massive Russian attacks on Dnipro, Kyiv, and Odesa, which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of civilians.

This is stated in his statement, released by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

In his statement, he noted that he was awakened by the sounds of explosions at a hotel in Dnipro during a massive shelling and emphasized that for many Ukrainian communities, life under constant attack has become routine.

According to him, in some cities, particularly in Odesa, such strikes pose a threat to the civilian population almost daily, while residents of frontline areas live under constant shelling.

Schmale emphasized that rescue workers and humanitarian aid workers, who are the first to arrive at the scene, are also at risk while responding to the aftermath of the attacks.

He stressed that civilians should not have to live in conditions of violence every day, and the wave of attacks on the civilian population must be stopped.

As a reminder, in the Poltava region, civilian infrastructure, including a dairy farm, was damaged as a result of attacks by Russian drones.

As a result of a nighttime attack by Russian forces on Kyiv, the number of casualties rose to 62. Four people were killed.

In the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers discovered the warhead of a Russian Iskander-K missile. A controlled destruction of the munition is planned at the site.

On the night of April 15, three people were injured in Dnipro and the surrounding region as a result of Russian drone strikes, and damage to civilian infrastructure was reported.

Additionally, during the Russian attack on Kyiv, one of the missiles exploded near a construction site belonging to the SAGA Development company in the Pochaina district. Six construction workers were injured as a result of the incident.

In Kyiv, 60 cars were burned in a massive Russian attack, and two security guards were killed.

As a reminder, the death toll from the massive drone attack on Odesa on January 27 has risen to four. An elderly man died in the hospital from his injuries.

On the night of January 29, Russia struck Odesa with attack drones, causing a fire at one of the industrial facilities.

As a reminder, the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility in Odesa with drones.

Drones also attacked an oil depot in the Voronezh region.
