Pakistan and Saudi Arabia sign visa agreement — Dawn

In New York, United States, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement to abolish visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports. The document was concluded on September 22 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar signed the agreement on behalf of Pakistan, while Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan signed on behalf of Saudi Arabia. Dar announced this in a post on the social media platform X, Dawn reports.

Who the agreement applies to

The agreement applies to holders of diplomatic and official passports. It is expected to facilitate high-level contacts and institutional exchanges between the two countries, Ishaq Dar said.

According to him, the arrangement is also expected to promote the development of the long-term strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in areas of mutual interest. Dar described this partnership as brotherly.
