Pakistan plans to welcome up to 50,000 Russian tourists each year

Pakistan expects to attract up to 50,000 tourists from Russia annually and generate up to $1 billion in revenue from this. This was stated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.

This was reported with reference to Russian media.

According to him, the country sees significant potential in the Russian tourism market and plans to gradually develop this sector through cooperation with tour operators. Initially, the focus will be on organizing trips for small tourist groups, with a subsequent expansion of the flow of travelers.

The diplomat noted that changes in the global tourism market and instability in some regions are creating opportunities for the development of new tourist destinations. He also emphasized that Pakistan could become an attractive alternative thanks to its diverse nature, tourist locations, and the gradual development of infrastructure.

Separately, Tirmizi emphasized that Russian tourists often seek affordable and relatively inexpensive trips, and Pakistan can meet this demand provided there is systematic engagement with the tourism market and tour operators.
