China's first passenger airship begins commercial operations
China's inaugural passenger airship AS700 "Xiangyun" has completed its maiden commercial flight between the cities of Jingmen and Wuhan in Hubei Province. This flight marks a significant milestone in Chinese aviation and heralds new prospects for air transport development.

The AS700 "Xiangyun" airship was developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). It measures 50 meters in length, has a maximum flight range of 700 kilometres, and can reach altitudes up to 3 kilometres. The craft accommodates up to 10 passengers and can travel at speeds of up to 100 km/h.
The airship is intended for use in aerial tourism, emergency rescue missions, atmospheric reconnaissance, advertising, and other functions, highlighting its versatility and commercial potential.
