Two Ukrainians were injured in an explosion in Augsburg, Germany
On September 2, an unknown object exploded near the main train station in the German city of Augsburg. As a result of the incident, two Ukrainian citizens—a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy—suffered minor hearing injuries.
The blast wave damaged the facades and storefronts of nearby establishments, including a pharmacy, a bank, a jewelry store, and a tourist office.
After another suspicious object was discovered in the station tunnel, law enforcement temporarily closed the station and halted train traffic; however, an inspection revealed that there was no danger. The Augsburg Criminal Police are investigating the circumstances and motives behind the explosion, with approximately 200 law enforcement officers involved in the operation.
