Two people were shot near Frankfurt Airport
Early Tuesday morning in the German town of Rauheim, near Frankfurt Airport, two people were shot dead in a bistro. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

According to preliminary reports, around 3:45 a.m., an armed individual entered the bistro and opened fire on two people. Both died from their injuries at the scene.
According to police, the perpetrator fled. A manhunt is currently underway.
The area around the bistro has been cordoned off. Numerous police units are conducting the search for the shooter. A helicopter has also been deployed to assist in the search.
Investigators reported that no further information can be provided at this time.
