Ukraine and the Netherlands are launching joint cybersecurity projects
The Netherlands is launching a €2.5 million grant program to support Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity. The funds will go toward joint projects between Ukrainian and Dutch companies. The maximum grant is up to 250,000 euros per project. It provides funding for joint projects between Ukrainian and Dutch companies, according to a Facebook post by the National Security and Defense Council’s press service.
The Dutch government has announced the launch of the NL-UA Cybersecurity Fund grant program with a total budget of €2.5 million. It is aimed at supporting Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity and developing joint technological solutions.
“The program is being implemented by the Dutch National Cyber Security Coordination Center under the Tallinn Mechanism in cooperation with the National Cyber Security Coordination Center under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. The initiative was presented during the Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum 2026,” the National Security and Defense Council reported.
The main idea is to bring together Ukrainian and Dutch companies to create joint solutions in the field of cybersecurity. To participate, a consortium must be formed: at least one partner from Ukraine and one from the Netherlands. The maximum funding amount for a single project is up to 250,000 euros. The implementation period must not exceed six months.
Key areas the program will support include:
SOC-as-a-Service and managed cybersecurity services,
cloud security,
access and identity management systems,
email security,
digital forensics and cyber incident response,
The National Security and Defense Council emphasizes that this initiative is part of broader support for Ukraine from the Netherlands. The country had previously announced a €10 million cybersecurity assistance package. Thus, the new fund is intended not only to help Ukraine defend itself against cyberattacks but also to strengthen cooperation with European partners and develop modern security technologies.
Additionally, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Finland are establishing a mechanism for joint defense procurement.
As a reminder, Starmer will meet with Zelenskyy to discuss support for Ukraine.
Additionally, Ukraine is launching the A1 military AI center to develop cutting-edge technologies for the front lines.
