Australian police search for female driver after man's death in Bega — ABC News Australia
Police in the Australian state of New South Wales are searching for a woman who, according to law enforcement, may be involved in the fatal collision that killed 73-year-old Trevor Fleet in the town of Bega. The incident occurred on August 31 at about 12:16 p.m. on Newtown Road near its intersection with the Princes Highway.
Incident circumstances
As ABC News Australia reports, Fleet and the woman stopped on the roadside and had a face-to-face argument. Investigators believe that afterward, the woman returned to her vehicle, reversed and struck the man.
Fleet fell, sustained serious injuries and died in hospital the following day. His partner was in their vehicle during the incident. According to Detective Inspector Justin Marks, she is still traumatized by the event.
Police also believe that the meeting between Fleet and the woman was not pre-arranged.

Description of the wanted woman
Four weeks after the incident, the female driver has still not been identified. Police have established the dedicated Dalore investigation team, which is examining eyewitness accounts, CCTV footage and reports submitted through CrimeStoppers.
Law enforcement officers are searching for a woman aged between 30 and 40, described as Caucasian, of solid build, with a round face and blonde hair. Her height is estimated at about 5.5 feet. She was wearing dark blue work trousers and dark long-sleeved clothing.
According to the police description, the woman was driving a large silver SUV, possibly a Holden, with black-and-white New South Wales registration plates and a bull bar at the front. Investigators urged drivers who may have seen the collision or have any information about the case to come forward.
