Israeli police investigate gunshots in the air in Silwan — Jerusalem Post
Israeli police have launched an investigation after shots were fired into the air in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire, are conducting searches and establishing the circumstances of the incident. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
Police's preliminary version
According to preliminary police data, Arab residents of the neighborhood began throwing stones at a group of young Jews who were passing through Silwan. According to law enforcement, one of the young men fired warning shots into the air in response to drive away those throwing stones.

Searches continue
Israeli police reported that, as of the time of publication, there was no information about any injured people. Jerusalem District officers are carrying out operational measures and extensive searches to identify individuals who may have thrown stones, as well as to collect additional evidence in the case.
