Polish Senator Golba had his license suspended for speeding 58 km/h over the limit

In Poland, Law and Justice Party Senator Mieczysław Golba had his driver’s license suspended for three months for driving significantly over the speed limit.

This was reported by PAP.

The incident occurred on April 17 in the village of Werbna. Police stopped a Toyota driven by the 60-year-old politician. He was traveling at 128 km/h, exceeding the speed limit by 58 km/h.

Law enforcement officers issued a warning and suspended his driver’s license for three months.

The senator himself explained that he was rushing to catch a flight.

Meczysław Golba has been a member of parliament since 2005: he was initially a member of the Sejm, and since 2015, a member of the Polish Senate.

Poland is preparing changes for sole proprietors; taxes may rise to 40%.

As a reminder, Poland previously updated the procedure for calculating sick leave benefits from ZUS, which will allow employees to receive higher payments. The new system also clarifies which types of activities affect the amount of sick leave benefits and which do not. This applies, in particular, to Ukrainian workers employed in the country under labor contracts.
