The mayor of Perm advised residents to "be patient" following the attacks and fires at the oil refinery
Eduard Sosnin, the mayor of the Russian city of Perm, has appealed to residents for “patience” and “faith” following a series of drone attacks in the city.
This was reported by Russian media.
As a result of these strikes, fires broke out in Perm at an oil refinery and at facilities belonging to the Transneft company. Following the incidents, heavy smoke was observed in the city, and there were reports of so-called “oil rains.”
Despite the scale of the events, the mayor did not publicly comment on the emergencies themselves. Instead, on May 1, he congratulated residents on “Spring and Labor Day,” wishing them strength and endurance, and emphasizing the importance of unity and mutual support.
Meanwhile, Perm Krai Governor Dmitry Makhonin reported that the fire at one of the industrial facilities had been contained. According to him, there is no threat to the population, and no excessive levels of harmful substances in the air have been recorded.
Drones attacked Tuapse again, causing fires at the oil refinery and in the port.
In Tuapse, refinery capacity has decreased following the latest attack.
Residents of Tuapse, Russia, are increasingly complaining about the unbearable living conditions in the frontline city. The once-popular resort has turned into an area of environmental disaster and constant danger due to regular explosions at local industrial facilities.
In Tuapse, Russia, the city beach was covered with a new layer of pebbles while cleaning up the aftermath of an oil spill. At the same time, local residents and environmentalists claim that traces of fuel oil are still visible near the water and that a full cleanup has not taken place.
