Poland has received another shipment of 18 South Korean K2 tanks
The Polish Army has received another batch of 18 South Korean K2 tanks, which will be assigned to the 16th Mechanized Division, stationed near the border with Russia and Belarus.
The delivery was made under a contract signed in August 2025, which is part of a large-scale modernization program for the Polish Army. The official noted that future shipments will also include tanks partially manufactured with Polish components.
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced this on X.
In August, the first batch of 28 South Korean K2 tanks arrived in Poland under the second implementation agreement with South Korea. The total number of such vehicles in the Polish Army has now risen to 208.
In Warsaw, representatives of the Polish and South Korean armies agreed to expand high-level contacts, conduct joint exercises, and establish a regular bilateral consultation mechanism between the two armies.
