Poland is reinforcing its border with Ukraine with fortifications due to the Russian threat

Poland has begun building new fortifications and strengthening border crossing points along its border with Ukraine due to the growing threat from Russia. In particular, new observation posts will be erected in Dorohusk, Medytsia, and Korchova.

Security at facilities near the border will be reinforced by units of the 18th Pontoon-Bridge Regiment. Minister of National Defense Vladyslav Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that Russia’s actions threaten the security of all of Europe; therefore, in accordance with a government decision, the infrastructure used by the Border Guard Service is being strengthened. The construction of border fortifications is taking place as part of the “Eastern Shield” program. To build the defensive bastions, soldiers from the 4th and 18th Engineer Regiments are using special gabion barriers.

This was announced in X by Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysz.

As a reminder, Russia struck railway infrastructure in Volyn near the border with Poland.

The “Ukrnafta” gas station chain in Kyiv has again come under Russian attack. According to the company’s CEO, Bohdan Kukura, this is already the fifth strike on the chain’s gas stations in a short period.

Russian attacks using “suicide drones” are becoming increasingly terrorist in nature. Throughout the day, the Russians have been deliberately targeting gas stations in Kyiv.
