Poland has filed a complaint against Starlink over its exclusion from European roaming
The Polish government has called on Starlink to reconsider its decision not to include Poland in the service’s European roaming zone. As a result, Polish users will face higher costs when traveling abroad, according to Notes from Poland.
Starlink—the satellite internet service from Elon Musk’s SpaceX—offers a service called Roam. It allows users to access the internet outside their country of registration at no additional charge, provided they are within a specified region. The company has included 36 countries and territories in the European region but explicitly stated that Poland is not among them.
The company did not explain the reasons for this decision. Some media outlets speculated that it might be related to the use of terminals registered in Poland within Ukraine. At the same time, Ukraine is also not included in the European Roam region.

Polish Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Hawkowski stated that he does not agree with a global technology company treating Poles worse than other Europeans. According to him, SpaceX must treat Polish customers fairly and on equal terms if it wishes to operate in the Polish market.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski appealed to Musk to stop discriminating against Polish users. He also stated that Warsaw may reconsider its annual expenditure of approximately $50 million on Starlink services for Ukraine during the war unleashed by the Russian Federation—the aggressor state.
