Poland Introduces Criminal Liability for "Trash" Streams and Online Casino Advertising

The Polish parliament has officially approved a new, radical bill that fully criminalizes the broadcasting of so-called “trash streams.”

From now on, in our neighboring country, the promotion and advertising of gambling by influencers is equated with the depiction of violence and cruelty

These strict legislative changes aim to completely rid the local media landscape of harmful digital content.

The new law provides for actual prison terms ranging from 3 months to 5 years for violators.

Notably, both live broadcasts of real events and staged reenactments of illegal acts on air are subject to criminal liability. The bill has now passed a vote in parliament and is awaiting the Polish president’s signature.

Experts are confident that the head of state will approve the initiative, despite his recent high-profile veto of the cryptocurrency law.

This decision by the Polish authorities clearly reflects the pan-European trend toward strict restrictions on gambling marketing and casino advertising. Other EU countries, as well as the United Kingdom, have already taken similar steps.

For large international platforms and affiliate networks, this means they must urgently implement geo-blocks for Polish traffic.

Streamers will no longer be able to hide behind the “entertainment nature” of their videos, as the risk of criminal prosecution has become very real.

The passage of this law could deal a significant blow to representatives of the traffic arbitrage industry who have chosen Poland as their permanent residence.

A prime example is the well-known Ukrainian blogger, millionaire, and founder of the Traffic Devils team, Oleksandr (Sasha) Slobozhenko, who is currently in Poland.

The entrepreneur has repeatedly spoken openly about the specifics of this business and the sources of his wealth.

In particular, in an extensive video interview on the “RAMINA” YouTube channel, Slobozhenko described in detail the process of building his team and confirmed that his first significant earnings and millions in capital were earned specifically through gambling arbitrage.

Currently, such promotional methods are strictly prohibited in the Polish media landscape, creating an unprecedented legal precedent for foreign top managers and webmasters.
