The Russian Embassy in Sweden was attacked by drones carrying paint and a dummy explosive device
The Russian Embassy in Sweden reported yet another incident involving drones, which occurred on the night of July 2. According to the Russian diplomatic mission, the embassy grounds were attacked by two quadcopters.
According to the diplomatic mission, one of the drones dropped a container of red paint, while the other—to which a mock homemade explosive device (HED) was attached—crashed near the embassy building.
The diplomatic mission held the Swedish authorities responsible for the security of the diplomatic facility.
“Under these circumstances, all responsibility for the continued attacks on the Russian diplomatic mission and their possible consequences lies with the Swedish side,” Russian diplomats stated.
The embassy noted that a similar incident had already occurred on September 7, 2025. At that time, the grounds of the Russian diplomatic mission in Stockholm were also attacked by drones. So far, no official information regarding the new incident has been released by the Swedish authorities.

On the night of July 2, a fire broke out at one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, following a drone attack, according to Russian sources.
In addition, drones struck the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to preliminary data, one of the targets of the attack was the Tavriya Thermal Power Plant.
