Putin's representative Dmitriev has arrived in the U.S. to meet with Trump for new talks — Reuters

Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president’s special representative, is traveling to the U.S. for talks with representatives of Donald Trump’s administration. In particular, he is scheduled to meet with Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and other officials, according to Reuters.

 

According to the agency’s sources, the visit—which was coordinated with Vladimir Putin—will take place in New York during the UN General Assembly and will serve as a follow-up to the meeting that took place in the Kremlin in early September.

The main topics of discussion will be a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, the expansion of economic cooperation, and energy issues. Previously, with the participation of Dmitriev—who is considered the most acceptable negotiator for Washington—agreements had already been reached to lift sanctions on Russian oil exports by sea and to carry out several prisoner exchanges.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy held meetings with the leaders of Syria and Ecuador in New York.
