Sri Lankan representative reports higher CIFTIS attendance in China

In China, A.M.M. Anura Banda, president of the China–Sri Lanka–Belt and Road Association for Trade and Economic Cooperation, stated that the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, or CIFTIS, attracted more visitors than its previous editions.

Interest in Sri Lankan products

According to Banda, many visitors to the exhibition showed interest in products from Sri Lanka. He said this in an interview with China News Network, ECNS reports.

In the report, Banda is identified as the president of the China Lanka Belt and Road Association for Trade and Economic Cooperation. He presented his assessment of the event's attendance and interest in Sri Lankan products as his own observation.

Thirty years living in China

Banda has lived in China for 30 years. According to him, during this time he has observed the country's development every year.

Banda also noted that China has created more opportunities for people to do business, study and develop personally. These assessments were made in an interview dedicated to the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services.
