The President of Romania commented on the ministers' resignation and stated that the current course would remain unchanged
Romanian President Nicușor Dan stated that he had not yet officially received resignation letters from ministers of the Social Democratic Party, although he was prepared for such a turn of events.
This was reported by Digi24.
According to him, he is aware of the situation and is awaiting official documents, after which appropriate decisions will be made.
Dan also noted that political consultations on next steps may take place next week.
At the same time, the president emphasized that he does not wish to comment on the actions of individual parties in order to maintain a neutral position as a mediator.
He declined to evaluate the work of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, explaining that he did not wish to take sides.
The president stressed that, despite the political situation, Romania remains on a pro-European course, and key state institutions continue to function stably.
