President Trump says he ended relationship with Tucker Carlson — Jerusalem Post
US President Donald Trump said that he ended his relationship with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson several months ago because of Carlson’s remarks, which he considered unacceptable. Trump said this in an interview with Jewish radio host Sid Rosenberg, the Jerusalem Post reports.
According to Trump, his relationship with the former Fox News host had been unstable for many years. He called Carlson inconsistent and a person who supports others mainly under favorable circumstances.
Reason for the break
Trump said that his decision to distance himself from Carlson was connected not so much with the commentator’s statements about him personally as with Carlson’s other remarks. As one example, the president cited Carlson’s criticism of conservative radio host and commentator Mark Levin, whom Trump called “fantastic.”

The president also said that, in his opinion, Carlson never truly liked him. Trump described their relationship as “very complicated” and noted that people sometimes do not have mutual understanding.
Vance’s position
The conversation took place after US Vice President J.D. Vance said that, despite political differences with Carlson, he still considers him a friend and is not ready to give up the friendship because of political views.
Rosenberg drew Trump’s attention to the difference between the president’s and vice president’s positions and expressed the opinion that Vance’s ties with Carlson could create a problem for him should he run in the 2028 presidential election. He also mentioned that Carlson had called Trump the “Antichrist.” Trump did not criticize Vance for his friendship with the commentator and did not say that the vice president should end the relationship.
