Prince William and Princess Anne arrived at the funeral of the King of Norway
On Wednesday, September 9, the funeral of King Harald V of Norway is taking place in Oslo. Representatives of royal families and heads of foreign states have arrived to pay their respects to the monarch.
The British royal family is represented at the ceremony by Prince William of Wales and Princess Anne. They joined the funeral procession and walked behind the Norwegian king’s casket.




Joining them in the funeral procession were members of the royal houses of Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Monaco, Jordan, and Japan; heads of state, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy; and members of the Norwegian royal family.
The ceremony itself is taking place at Oslo Cathedral.
King Harald V died on August 28 at the age of 89. The cause of death was a blood disorder—hemolytic anemia. As of 2026, he was the longest-reigning monarch in Europe.
