Pro-Kremlin political analyst Markov was fined; he blamed Ukrainian intelligence agencies

In Russia, pro-Kremlin political analyst Sergei Markov was fined for failing to include the required "foreign agent" designation in his publications.

This was reported by SotaVision.

The court fined him 45,000 rubles for violating content labeling requirements.

The case concerns posts on a Telegram channel, specifically regarding support for Venezuela and Iran.

Markov himself stated in court that the label had allegedly been “deleted” and suggested that Ukrainian and Canadian intelligence agencies might be involved.

His lawyer also claimed that the account could have been hacked.

The political analyst claimed that this was allegedly an attempt to “sow discord among Putin’s supporters.”

Earlier, a resident of Kherson was sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of property for treason and violations of the laws and customs of war.

In Luhansk, the occupiers sentenced a Polish citizen for participating in battles on behalf of Ukraine.
