Russian dictator Vladimir Putin awarded the Order of Zhukov to the Presidential Regiment of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, which is responsible for guarding the Kremlin and ensuring the safety of the leadership of the aggressor country.
According to the publication, the award ceremony took place on June 23 in the St. George Hall of the Kremlin during an event marking the unit’s 90th anniversary.
In Russia, the Order of Zhukov is awarded, among other things, for meritorious service in the defense of the country, the fulfillment of combat missions, and significant military achievements.
During the ceremony, Putin thanked the military personnel for their service, stating that they “will carry out their assigned tasks with dignity.”
The Presidential Regiment of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation has the status of a special service, reports directly to Putin, provides security for the Kremlin and the Russian Federation’s top leadership, and participates in official state events.
Earlier, Russian dictator Putin declared the Kremlin’s alleged readiness to resume peace talks with Ukraine. However, he cited the “Istanbul Agreements”—initialed in 2022—as the basis for a future settlement, along with ultimatums regarding a freeze on the front lines and Ukraine’s recognition of the loss of its territories.
