Rutte made a statement regarding China's training of Russian military personnel — The Guardian
NATO is constantly and closely monitoring the military assistance China is providing to Russia, including information regarding the possible training of military personnel.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a press conference.
The statement came in response to questions from journalists regarding recent data released by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas.
The Secretary General of the defense agency emphasized that the allies have no illusions about the partnership between Beijing and Moscow.
According to him, the situation is being monitored continuously, as cooperation between these two countries directly affects European security.
“We are not naive. We are closely monitoring everything. At this time, I cannot tell you more—at least not at this public press conference—but you can be sure that we are watching every move,” Mark Rutte emphasized.
Western leaders have repeatedly expressed concern over the support China provides to the Russian military-industrial complex.
Beijing supplies the aggressor with dual-use goods, microelectronics, and components for weapons production. Reports of possible military exercises are taking this cooperation to a new, even more dangerous level.
This was reported by The Guardian.
