A Russian woman from RT France has landed a job at the French network CNews
Ksenia Fedorova, the former editor-in-chief of RT France, has been hired by the French center-right television channel CNews.
This was reported by Politico and the Russian service of RFI.
RT France ceased broadcasting in January 2023 following the imposition of European sanctions and the freezing of its accounts. After the channel’s closure, Fedorova remained in France, published her memoirs, and later joined billionaire Vincent Bolloré’s media holding company, which includes CNews, Europe 1, Journal du Dimanche, and the Fayard publishing house.
She now appears regularly on CNews, commenting on international events and hosting her own weekly segment, as well as participating in the creation of media projects.
According to RFI and Politico, Fedorova consistently promotes narratives similar to those of Russian state media, particularly regarding the West’s responsibility for the continuation of the war. It is also reported that she wields influence within the media holding company and may influence personnel decisions.
French media and regulators have already taken note of her activities; however, as Politico notes, there are almost no legal grounds for restrictions due to the lack of evidence of funding from the Russian government.
The Russian attack on Kyiv damaged six media outlets, and there are casualties.
Active efforts are currently underway in Kyiv to address the aftermath of yesterday’s massive strike by the Russian Federation.
On the night of May 24, the International Center for Culture and Arts (ICCA) of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine sustained significant damage as a result of a massive Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv.
The number of casualties in Kyiv as a result of the massive Russian attack has risen to 87 people, including children.
