A Russian court shut down Varlamov and Katsa's foundation

The Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow granted the Russian Ministry of Justice’s claim and ruled to dissolve the “Urban Projects” Foundation for Urban Development, founded by Ilya Varlamov and Maxim Katz.

The foundation was established in 2012 to promote urban development and modern urban planning principles. In particular, the organization advocated for convenient public transportation, safe pedestrian zones, and accessible urban infrastructure.

According to the lawsuit, the Russian Ministry of Justice cited violations in the organization’s operations uncovered during an audit, as well as a failure to align its activities with its stated goals and Russian law. Representatives of Varlamov and Kats have not yet publicly commented on the court’s decision.

This is reported by Russian propaganda media.

A Russian court has permanently barred Yabloko from the State Duma elections.

The Pskov City Court in Russia sentenced Lev Shlosberg, deputy chairman of the Yabloko party, to 11 years and 1 month in a penal colony. The 63-year-old politician was found guilty of spreading so-called “fake news” about the Russian army and repeatedly “discrediting” the military.

Earlier, a court in Moscow banned the Yabloko party from participating in the parliamentary elections.
