Roskomnadzor is demanding the removal of content regarding internet blocking issues in Russia

Roskomnadzor has demanded the removal of posts claiming that the agency is failing to block online resources.

This was reported by the publication “Ostrozhno, Novosti,” which received the relevant demand.

The issue concerns a March 19 Telegram post reposting a Forbes article about the overload of traffic filtering systems. The post noted that Roskomnadzor’s infrastructure cannot handle the volume of blocks, causing some previously blocked sites to become accessible again.

The agency claimed that such materials allegedly “destabilize the socio-political situation” and must be removed.

The editorial office was given 24 hours to comply with the demand, with a threat to restrict access to the site in case of refusal.

Earlier, the St. Petersburg authorities officially announced the introduction of restrictions on mobile internet access, citing security measures as the reason.

Internet access disappeared in the building of the Russian State Duma amid widespread network restrictions in Moscow.
