Rubio stated that the U.S. is ready to help bring the war in Ukraine to an end
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington is prepared to continue supporting efforts to end the war in Ukraine. He made these remarks during a visit to India, commenting on Russia’s recent massive attacks on Ukrainian cities.

According to Rubio, the new strikes on Kyiv once again demonstrate just how devastating and protracted this war has become.
“Every time you see these large-scale strikes from one side or the other, it’s a reminder of why this is a horrific war that has lasted longer than World War II, and why it needs to be brought to an end. And the U.S. is ready and prepared to do everything possible to help end this war, and I hope that at some point there will be an opportunity to play that role again,” he emphasized.
Rubio stressed that the U.S. remains ready to join peace initiatives and diplomatic processes if an opportunity for productive negotiations arises.
The U.S. Secretary of State also commented on a phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. According to him, the Russian side conveyed a message through him from Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to U.S. President Donald Trump.
Marco Rubio said he had already conveyed this message to Donald Trump, but did not disclose any details of its content.
Separately, the U.S. Secretary of State commented on Russia’s statements regarding the security of diplomatic missions in Kyiv. He noted that Moscow had not directly appealed to the U.S. to evacuate embassy staff, but had merely warned diplomatic missions of the danger in the Ukrainian capital.
“The danger in all these wars, as they continue, is that there is always a threat of escalation,” Rubio added.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin allegedly seeks to end the war against Ukraine by the end of the year, but only under conditions that the Kremlin would consider a victory.
The Kremlin has stated that “peace” in Ukraine could supposedly be achieved immediately if the Ukrainian leadership makes the appropriate decisions.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has several ideas on how to force Russia to end the war, but this requires a meeting with the American side.
