Rubio stated that Trump did not ask China to help resolve the conflict with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump has not asked Chinese President Xi Jinping for help in resolving the conflict with Iran.
This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with NBC News.
According to Rubio, Washington does not need China’s help on this issue, and during Trump’s talks with Xi, the U.S. president did not make any such requests at all.
At the same time, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the United States expects Beijing to play an active role in efforts to restore safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, as this is in China’s own interests.
As a reminder, Trump has arrivedin China for the first time in nearly a decade.
