Romania has temporarily restricted truck traffic at the border with Ukraine due to the heat
Romania has imposed temporary restrictions on freight traffic due to high temperatures. The restrictions will be in effect at the “Krasnoilsk–Vicovu de Sus” and “Porubne–Siret” border crossings.
On June 29 and 30, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., trucks will not be allowed to leave Ukraine, and their further movement through Romanian territory will be restricted.
The restrictions apply to all freight vehicles, including empty ones. The State Customs Service noted that the duration of the restrictions may vary depending on weather conditions and air temperature.
Drivers and carriers are urged to take these temporary restrictions into account when planning their routes and crossing the state border.
