Sweden has allocated an additional €124.1 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund

Sweden contributed an additional 124.1 million euros (1.37 billion Swedish kronor) to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Thanks to this grant, Sweden’s total contribution to the fund has exceeded 386 million euros.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, this transfer marked an important milestone: the total amount of announced and disbursed contributions from all partners since the fund’s inception has surpassed the 2 billion euro mark. To date, the Energy Support Fund has actually received grant funds totaling nearly 1.94 billion euros from 39 sponsors, including 26 partner countries and three international organizations.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expressed his gratitude to the partners for their assistance, emphasizing that these resources are a key component for the restoration, modernization, and transformation of Ukraine’s energy system.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

The Netherlands will allocate 178 million euros to Ukraine to prepare for winter.
