The U.S. has tightened the rules for issuing student visas

The U.S. has tightened the rules for issuing student visas

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has introduced new restrictions for foreigners who receive student, exchange, and journalist visas. From now on, the validity period of these visas will be determined by new rules rather than depending on the duration of the academic or cultural program.

Under the new regulations, student and exchange visas will be valid for no longer than four years. For journalists, the maximum stay on such a visa will be 240 days, and for Chinese citizens, 90 days. After this period ends, applicants may apply for an extension.

The new rules also restrict the ability to transfer to other educational institutions and reduce the period during which graduates of U.S. universities can look for work after completing their studies from 60 to 30 days.

This was reported by Reuters.

Trump’s “golden visa” program has run into problems right from the start.

As a reminder, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not consider the war with Iran to be over.

Official Tehran refused to participate in the second round of peace talks with the United States, which were to take place in Islamabad.

Iran rejected Trump’s claims about transferring uranium to the U.S. and accused him of manipulation.
