A Paris court has rejected the appeal filed by the former head of RT France regarding her deportation
The Paris Administrative Court has rejected an appeal by Ksenia Fedorova, the former head of RT France, regarding her expulsion from France and the freezing of her assets. This was reported by AFP, according to “European Truth.”
The court’s statement noted that Fedorova failed to prove that the order to leave France would have “serious personal consequences” for her. Fedorova, who also wrote for Le Journal du Dimanche, claimed that her expulsion was ordered under an “emergency procedure.”
According to a source close to the case, Fedorova has been placed under house arrest. France also announced that her assets have been frozen for six months.

Fedorova’s employers said they were shocked by the expulsion order, which they consider to be “a particularly serious violation of freedom of speech.” French Interior Minister Laurent Nunes called the expulsion order “fully justified.”
According to Nunez, the decision is linked to Fedorova’s numerous statements, which “systematically echo Kremlin propaganda” regarding France’s involvement in the events in Ukraine, as well as the causes and motives behind Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
The French Ministry of the Interior issued a deportation order for Fedorova on July 29. From 2017 to 2023, she headed the French bureau of the Russian state-run television channel RT. After the channel was banned in France, she remained in the country, taking a position as a commentator at Vincent Bolloré’s media empire; she regularly appears on CNews and Europe 1 and writes a column for Le Journal du Dimanche.
