Court hears testimony in Alan Jones case — ABC News Australia
In Sydney, Australia, a court heard testimony from a man who alleged that former radio host Alan Jones touched his buttocks during an event more than five years ago. According to ABC News Australia, 85-year-old Jones has pleaded not guilty to all 21 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching being heard by the New South Wales Local Court.

Complainant H, as he is referred to in court, is the fourth of five male complainants in the case. He said he first met Jones at an event where Jones was standing beside him.
According to the man, Jones put his hand on his upper back, slowly moved it downward and left his hand on his buttocks. The complainant said he did not respond and does not remember any physical reaction, as he did not want to make a scene and believed it could ruin the evening.

Reporting the incident
The man told the court that, as he was leaving the event, he told his supervisor about the alleged incident. According to him, she became angry and supported him. A few days later, he also told another colleague about it.
The complainant said he felt disgusted and powerless, and also said that it was then that he first understood the experiences of women in similar situations. Jones was charged with one count of sexual touching in connection with this episode.
The man also stated that in 2023, after reading a Sydney Morning Herald article about allegations against Jones, he contacted its author, journalist Kate McClymont, and told her about his experience. He said he did not give permission for his story to be published, but in May 2024 he saw an article setting out his claims without naming him. The hearing is continuing, and complainant H will continue giving evidence.
