TikToker Ghana Jollof says Ghana will not be able to extradite her — MyJoyOnline
In Ghana, TikToker Barbara Asantewaa Koduah, known as Ghana Jollof, said that the country’s authorities would not be able to secure her extradition from the United Kingdom. Ghanaian police have declared her wanted in a case involving alleged incitement to violence and the dissemination of false news.
As MyJoyOnline reports, police claim that Koduah, who lives in the United Kingdom, used the Ghana Jollof TikTok account to post abusive and inciting comments, as well as information capable of causing fear and alarm. Law enforcement officers released videos linked to the account as part of their claims.
Extradition statements
In one of the videos, the TikToker, according to police, spoke about an alleged attempted coup. She claimed that some military personnel might be dissatisfied with the actions of President John Mahama.
Koduah rejected the possibility of being forcibly returned to Ghana. According to her, British authorities would not agree to hand her over if the case showed signs of political persecution. She also said that she could return to Ghana only by her own decision.

The nurse’s case
Meanwhile, the Adenta Circuit Court 1 in Accra remanded senior nurse Salomey Aviti Baffoe in custody for two weeks. She is suspected of aiding the dissemination of content from the Ghana Jollof TikTok account.
Koduah denied that the nurse had shared her materials on social media and said that she had no personal relationship with her. She called the detention political persecution, linking it to the fact that the nurse’s husband, who lives outside Ghana, is an active member of the opposition New Patriotic Party.
Ghanaian police also said that during the investigation they allegedly established that Koduah paid Baffoe and other people to repost information on various platforms that law enforcement considers false. Police also reported discovering financial transactions between the nurse and certain influential public figures.
