U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit in Turkey.

According to available information, the meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy will take place on Wednesday, July 8, in the afternoon. The two sides have not publicly announced this event, but the day before, on July 4, the leaders held a phone call during which they discussed the current situation on the front lines and in diplomacy.

On the same day, the U.S. president also plans to hold a bilateral meeting with Syria’s transitional president, Ahmad al-Sharaa. The NATO summit in Ankara is scheduled for July 7 and 8.

This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty correspondent Alex Raufoglu, citing the White House.

At the NATO summit, which will take place on July 7–8 in Ankara, the allies plan to approve new long-term commitments to support Ukraine. The draft final declaration calls for 140 billion euros in military aid for 2026–2027 and reaffirms that Russia remains a threat to Euro-Atlantic security.
